Victoria L. Wallace, CDA, RDA of Ultradent Products, Inc. Received Two Distinguished Awards

Victoria L. Wallace of Ultradent Products, Inc. was the recipient of the ADAA/Sullivan-Schein District Award of Excellence and ADAA Journal Award at the 82nd Annual American Dental Assistants Association in Denver, Colorado earlier this month.
The ADAA is an 8,000 member voluntary association of professional Dental Assistants. Each year, the ADAA recognizes Dental Assistants for outstanding achievement in the development and recognition of professionalism through education, membership services and public awareness programs. In this year’s program, Ms. Wallace received the ADAA/Sullivan-Schein District Award of Excellence. Recipients of this award were recognized for being an ADAA member that has enhanced the dental assisting profession and the ADAA through personal and professional growth.
Ms. Wallace was also the recipient of the Journal Award. This award is presented to the ADAA member who has submitted an exceptional educational article for the ADAA’s publication "The Dental Assistant". The article submitted by Ms. Wallace was titled “Terminology, Technology, and Troubleshooting: Curing Lights.
Ms. Wallace has been a Certified Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Assistant since 1976. She is President of the Nevada Dental Assistants Association, the Southern Nevada Dental Assistants Society and an active member of the ADAA for 8 years. She has served on the ADAA Foundation Board of Directors for the past 5 years.Ms. Wallace started working for Ultradent Products, Inc. in 1996. Her current position is Major Accounts Manager and lecturer on Dental Products and Procedures. Ms. Wallace will be a guest speaker at the 2007 California Dental Association Scientific Session in Anaheim, California and the 2007 Professional Dental Assisting Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kentucky Dental Association and Ultradent Products, Inc Partner to Provide Healthier Smiles for Kids

The Kentucky Dental Association partnered with Ultradent Products to raise awareness about the importance of good oral health at the Kentucky state Fair earlier this month. Ultradent Products, Inc. donated dental products for the fair’s “Sealants for Kentucky’s Children” event.
“Sealants for Kentucky’s Children” is designed to increase access to dental professionals, create awareness through educational materials and improve the oral health of all Kentuckians. The program targets school children ages six through 12. Free dental screenings, sealants and varnish were provided throughout the fair. Ultradent Products, Inc. provided sealant and fluoride varnish.
The Kentucky Dental Association and Ultradent Products, Inc. will continue their mission to improve oral healthcare through programs such as “Sealants for Kentucky’s Children”. The goal is to decrease the incidence of oral decay and create a blue print for similar programs throughout the country.

Ultradent Products, Inc. today announced that President/CEO Dr. Dan Fischer will be featured as a keynote speaker at the 7th Annual World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (WCMID) in Seattle, Washington on August 18, 2006.
Dr. Dan Fischer is an active proponent of minimally invasive dentistry. Over the last 25 years, Dr. Fischer has been widely recognized as a speaker on the theory and practice of preservation of oral tissues. His most recent presentation at Dentaltown’s “Townie Meeting” in Las Vegas, Nevada was titled “Patient-Centered Dentistry: Balancing patient needs with the need to make a living.” In this presentation, Dr. Fischer placed great emphasis on “listening to the needs of the patient”. This will also be the theme of Dr. Fischer’s presentation at the upcoming WCMID conference.
Founded in 1999, the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry is a nationally recognized community of healthcare professionals dedicated to the philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry. WCMID consists of West Coast dental schools, the State Board of Dental Examiners and representatives from the dental insurance industry. This year, the WCMID will convene in Seattle, Washington on August 16-119, 2006 to discuss improvements and values within the focus of minimally invasive dentistry.
