 About Dr. Carlos Spironelli Ramos, DDS, MS, PhD

Carlos Spironelli Ramos DDS, MS, PhD, graduated in dentistry in 1987 in Brazil, then soon after received a scholarship to study in Japan. He finished his residency in endodontics in Brazil in 1990. From 1991 to 1993, he attended the master’s program in endodontics, receiving a Master of Science degree. He then began the PhD program in endodontics, completing it in 1997, the same year he published his first book. From 1995 to 2012, he worked as a professor of endodontics at the State University of Londrina, where he coordinated the endodontics sector. During this same time, he published three books and wrote more than a dozen chapters for various endodontics books. Professor Ramos is currently a partial time adjunct professor at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah, as well as the R&D Endodontics Manager at Ultradent. He was granted three international patents, which have brought different devices to the world marketplace that use these patented technologies. He performs many lectures, hands-on workshops, and conferences worldwide each year, having visited over 40 countries. All this has been accomplished while working part-time exclusively as an endodontic specialist at his private office from 1987 to 2012.

SOUTH JORDAN, UT, April 13, 2018 – Dr. Dan Fischer, founder and CEO of Ultradent Products, Inc., received the Trailblazer Award from the Senior Charity Care Foundation of Salt Lake City, Utah at its annual Hope Benefit on Tuesday evening. The charity presented the Trailblazer Award to Dr. Fischer for his contributions to dental care and dental innovation, as well as his for support of the organization through annual donations of dental products and financial contributions.

On receiving the award, Dr. Fischer said, “I think that what the Senior Charity Care Foundation does is a noble and wonderful cause. It brings me great joy that through their work, they are giving many seniors back the ability to smile and chew, and I’m so proud to be honored by them and to support them.”

The Senior Charity Care Foundation of Salt Lake City serves senior citizens throughout the Intermountain West by striving to provide financial assistance and healthcare—with an emphasis on providing funding for dental services such as dentures, hygiene, and restorative dentistry procedures—for seniors who do not have the ability to pay. The Hope Benefit is their annual charity event which typically raises over $75,000 to support low-income seniors in the region.

SOUTH JORDAN, UT, April 5, 2018 – Ultradent is pleased to announce Dr. Bertice Berry as the keynote speaker for the upcoming event Icons of Dentistry: A Workshop for Women.

Dr. Berry is a best-selling author of 11 fiction and non-fiction books, award-winning lecturer, and doctor of sociology. She has also been named Comedian-of-the-Year, Lecturer-of-the-Year, and Entertainer-of-the-Year by various organizations.

Dr. Bertice Berry has hosted her own nationally syndicated television show, and appeared on The Tonight Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, Crossfire, 20/20, NPR, PBS, Comedy Central, and CNN. Dr. Berry has also been a featured speaker at TEDx.

Dr. Berry’s literary work covers a wide range of topics, including healthcare, humor, health and wellness, relationships, servant leadership, diversity, love, and finding your purpose. Berry has also led parades, had classrooms named after her, and been awarded ten honorary doctorates. She earned her own doctoral degree from Kent State University at the age of 26. Dr. Berry firmly believes that every person has a unique purpose and that it is everyone’s obligation to find it and use it to improve one’s own life and the lives of others.

Dr. Berry is the adoptive mother to five children, which she considers her greatest accomplishment.

The Icons of Dentistry: A Workshop for Women event will take place June 22–23, 2018 at Ultradent’s international headquarters in South Jordan, UT. It will feature iconic women in the field of dentistry teaching classes and workshops on everything from work/life balance, practice building and management, esthetic dentistry, lasers, and more.

Ultradent will choose five lucky recipients to receive an all-expenses paid trip to the event.
