Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials, is introducing a line of premium accessories for VALO™ Grand curing lights. The addition of these six new lenses allows clinicians to use their VALO Grand light in increasingly nuanced ways to provide optimal care for their patients.

Curing Lenses:

• PointCure™ lens: creates a 2.5 mm diameter curing area to aid in position and tack curing
• ProxiCure™ ball lens: holds matrix against contact while curing composite for Class II restorations

Diagnostic Lenses:

• Interproximal lens: provides a focused 1 mm white light to help view interproximal caries
• TransLume™ lens: aids in detection of cracks and defects in a tooth or prostheses
• Black Light lens: fluoresces chemicals in various dental materials
• White Light lens: provides a pure natural light for accurate shade matching

About VALO Grand Curing Lights

VALO Grand curing lights use a custom, multi-wavelength light emitting diode (LED) for producing high intensity light at 385–515 nm through an optimally collimated beam capable of polymerizing all lightcured dental materials including porcelain and underlying resin cements. The VALO Grand light features a 12 mm lens and its extremely durable, slim, ergonomic shape allows unprecedented access to all restoration sites.

Dirk Jeffs, President and CEO of Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials, is being recognized as CEO of the Year by Utah Business Magazine. The announcement came today.

“I humbly and gratefully share this award with everyone at Ultradent. All of our accomplishments, especially throughout the past year, have involved whole teams of people working together to get them done,” says Jeffs. “None of it was ever me alone. I’m so grateful for them and for the opportunity to lead such a fantastic, impactful company whose mission, every single day, is to improve oral health globally.”

Taking the reins of CEO at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeffs’ long list of accomplishments include expansion of international sales into now more than 120 countries. In the last year under Jeffs’ leadership, Ultradent also opened a new business entity, Canyon Labs, and announced a partnership between Ultradent’s world renowned professional teeth whitening brand, Opalescence™ Whitening Systems and Align Technologies, the makers of Invisalign® aligners and Vivera® retainers.
