Ultradent Announces Two New Regional Managers for West Coast: Samantha Lujan & Nichole Churpek

Ultradent is pleased to announce two new regional managers for the west coast: Samantha Lujan and Nichole Churpek. Samantha Lujan, a former technical product advisor for the west coast and Hawaii, will manage the West Coast Region—which encompasses Southern California and Hawaii. Nichole Churpek—a former territory account manager for the Santa Barbara, California area—will manage the Northern California Region. Both regional managers officially start on July 1st, 2019. Of their promotions, Ultradent’s Director of U.S. Sales & Merchandising, Steve Clark, said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Samantha and Nichole in their new roles as regional sales managers. They were chosen because they are standouts in all they do, and I believe they have what it takes to lead their teams with enthusiasm, integrity, and care. I have no doubt they will be incredible in their new roles and an asset to the Regional Sales Manager team.”

Samantha Lujan brings a wealth of product and clinical knowledge, as well as a rich history of sales experience to her new role. Prior to arriving at Ultradent four years ago, Samantha worked in pediatric dentistry and other dental practices for 26 years. She then went on to work for a laser manufacturing company as a global trainer. After that, she worked as a sales rep for two large companies. This led her to Ultradent, where she was hired as a technical product advisor and became our resident expert on the Gemini^™ 810 + 980 diode laser.

Of her new role as regional manager Samantha said, “Truthfully, when I found out I got the position, I was very emotional. It’s something I’ve really wanted. I have so much passion for this company, its culture, and our people, and I want to make a difference. I know I can do that with this team and I’m so grateful for the opportunity."

“I’m so excited about seeing my team members increase their product knowledge as individuals and for us to grow stronger together as a team. My vision for us is to increase our overall whitening business, sales skills, and to see to it that each individual member is on the path to the President’s Club. I truly believe we have the talent in my new region to be number one. That is my hope!”

Of her favorite Ultradent product Samantha said, “It’s the Gemini laser, for obvious reasons! Lasers have always been a passion of mine and I just love helping doctors be more efficient and get better treatment outcomes with the Gemini laser.”

A fun fact most people don’t know about Samantha is that she’s incredibly competitive, adventurous, and athletic. She’s run a marathon, been a cheer and soccer coach, competed in track and volleyball, and has worked as a personal trainer. She has a passion for team sports and teamwork, and it shows. She also loves checking things off her bucket list, like her recent skydiving adventure!

Nichole Churpek’s passion, work ethic, ambition, and product knowledge are sure to be a huge asset to the Northern California team when she takes the lead July 1st. Prior to this most recent promotion, Nichole worked as a territory account manager in Santa Barbara, California. This just over five years after arriving at Ultradent with no prior background in dental! In fact, Nichole worked in the mortgage and lending business for several years before dedicating her talents to raising her children full time—“the hardest, but most rewarding job I’ve ever had,” she called it.

Of her new role as the Northern California regional manager Nichole said, “I’m so excited to work alongside my teammates to cultivate a new culture in Northern California! I’m really looking forward to the successes and wins that I know we’re going to have together. Like any new job, there will surely be challenges, but I’m ready to learn and I’m confident that I have a lot to give and a lot to share. I’m so grateful for my incredible friends and co-workers here at Ultradent that have helped and mentored me along the way. I hope to pay it forward and do that for my team members.

Of her favorite Ultradent product Nichole said, “It’s really a toss-up between our impression materials and our Jiffy^™ polishing systems. Both are more of a ‘relationship sale,’ but there’s a huge return on investment in them once the customer is converted. If you can accomplish that, the sales just keep rolling in. It’s bigger business than whitening and it’s just such a great consumable to introduce every office to.”

A fun fact most people don’t know about Nichole is that she aspires to be an Olympic athlete. “Most women on the women’s rowing team at the Olympics are in their late 40’s and 50’s, and there’s a lake about ten miles from my house where there is a women’s rowing team that I hope to join when my kids get a little older. I’ve always been very athletic and very competitive and that is a real dream that I hold in my mind for the future,” she said.
