Ultradent Selected as “Health Care Hero” for Corporate Achievement

​Last month, Ultradent Products, Inc. accepted the 2008 Health Care Heroes Award in the category of corporate achievement. The award, received from Utah Business Magazine, was designed to recognize organizations that make a significant impact on the value and quality of health care in Utah. 


“Health Care Heroes” were selected in eight different categories by an editorial panel of community leaders and health care professionals. Ultradent was selected in the category of corporate achievement for both its contribution to its employee health and fitness programs and advancement of dental health care globally. 

Ultradent’s “bombastic” health program provides 18 get-healthy events a year, including a 5k run or walk marathon, a ‘Maintain Don’t Gain’ program and monthly health and fitness seminars. Ultradent also offers a discount off monthly medical premiums for employees that work toward or meet the national health standard. “Certainly this outreach increases the happiness, the loyalty and the passion of the employee to be engaged with our company,” says Dr. Dan Fischer, CEO of Ultradent. “But at the end of the day, you have to have some fun, too.”
