J-Temp temporary resin is a radiopaque, light-cured, flowable, methacrylate-based resin that provides a durable, temporary material for multiple clinical indications. J-Temp resin is self-leveling,1 has less than a 5% shrinkage rate,1 and its distinctive purple color can be easily differentiated from enamel and dentin.1 With such versatility and quality, J-Temp temporary resin will quickly become a mainstay in your practice.

One Temporary Dental Resin
—So Many Possibilities!

J-Temp temporary resin was developed by Ultradent’s own Dr. Jaleena Fischer-Jessop to better meet the wide variety of needs that clinicians face. It is a radiopaque, light-cured, flowable, methacrylate-based resin that provides a durable—yet temporary—material for multiple uses such as temporary restorations, tooth buildups, and more.

J-Temp temporary resin has less than a 5% shrinkage volume, reducing the possibility of an open margin around a temporary restoration.1 Its distinctive purple color can be easily differentiated from enamel and dentin.1 J-Temp temporary resin is easy to deliver via syringe with Ultradent’s Black Mini Tip. The viscosity of the material allows a predictable flow which adapts to the tooth structure.1 Additionally, it can be visualized under X-ray to assure all temporary resin has been removed.1

Designed by dentists, for dentists, J-Temp temporary resin is the versatile multi-purpose every office needs. With so much to offer, it will quickly become one of your go-to products. Explore all you can do with J-Temp temporary resin below and try it today!

Four Clinical Indications For Use

J-Temp temporary resin has four approved clinical indications. With such versatility, J-Temp resin will quickly become one of your go-to products. Take a look at its wide variety of uses, and download the step-by-step guide below for the full procedures.

1. Temporary restorations

(endodontics, walking bleach technique, inlay/onlay, cusp buildup)

Endodontics

endodontics

Temporary restorative materials are commonly used during endodontic procedures. For example, during root canal therapy or for the walking bleach technique, J-Temp temporary resin may be directly placed inside the tooth over a barrier such as a cotton or Teflon pellet.

2. Splinting between multiple implant
copings for impressions to resist
impression material distortion.

endodontics

J-Temp temporary resin may be used as splinting between multiple implant copings before taking an impression for an implant-supported prosthesis. Doing so will prevent possible distortions as a result the impression material pulling the implant copings toward each other when the impression sets.

3. To provide structure for isolation clamping
and to act as a barrier for
endodontic irrigants.

isolation clamp

J-Temp temporary resin provides a simple way to build up the tooth enough to support an isolation clamp if too much of the natural tooth structure has been lost. The temporary structure provided by J-Temp resin allows for the secure placement of a rubber dam to act as a barrier for endodontic irrigants.

4. Bite ramps and temporary occlusal
buildups during orthodontics.

isolation clamp

J-Temp temporary resin may also be used to create bite ramps for orthodontics and temporary onlays used in occlusal rehabilitation treatments. Because high shear strength is necessary due to high masticatory forces during orthodontic treatment, a temporary material such as J-Temp resin works well.
